Nonsense

Why settle for any old chip when you've got real tortilla chips - Jack n Jill Tostillas Nacho Cheese? Monster size chips that give a distinct roar of a crunch and a mouth-tickling cheese flavor that will leave your funny bones wanting for more. Definitely a snack worth scampering for. So don't just stand there with your tongue lolling from side to side. Grab a fist full of chips and get cracking!
Nothing much important about this entry. I just wanted to promote and share what is written on the pack of what I am eating right now, Tostillas! Haha! Anyway, thanks for reading my non-sense entry. Hehe. Get cracking! Have a nice day!

UAAP and NCAA (Comparison and Contrast)

UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) and NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) are two popular leagues or associations here in the Philippines. They are both facilitating and handling sports competitions of different universities and colleges.
UAAP, established in 1938, is a sports association of eight universities in the Philippines. It is held every year from July to October (first semester sports) and from November to March (second semester sports). The sports being competed are, basketball, volleyball, chess, judo, swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, cheerdance, baseball, football, softball, tennis, track and field, badminton, and fencing. It is composed of eight competing universities, namely the Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University-Manila, University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of Santo Tomas, University of the East, Far Eastern University, Adamson University, and National University.
NCAA, founded in 1924 , 14 years before UAAP was established, is the largest collegiate athletic organization in the world. It is also held every year from June to October here in Philippines. It has the same sports that UAAP facilitates, but participated by colleges, and is "imported" only from the United States. It is also competed by eight colleges, namely Letran, DLS-CSB, Jose Rizal University, Mapua, PCU, San Beda, San Sebastian, and the University of Perpetual Help System.

12 & 32

Twelve and thirty-two are my two favorite numbers. I only "declared" them my favorites when I was in first year highschool. Anyway, I got both those numbers from my whole name: Heinz Kristian Buenaventura Nicolas. Here's the way how I got them.
Thirty-two; it simply because my whole name has thirty-two letters all in all. And for the number twelve, I only got it from the syllables of my whole name. Actually, it only has eleven syllables in it (heinz-kris-tian-bue-na-ven-tu-ra-ni-co-las). I just changed the way my middle name is being syllabicated (heinz-kris-tian-bu-e-na-ven-tu-ra-ni-co-las). Get it?
Another reason is that, on the number 12, when you exchange the places of the two numbers; 1 and 2, it will become number 21, also the number of Kevin Garnett, one of my favorite NBA players. Same to the number 32, when you also exchange the places of the numbers 3 and 2, it will become number 23, also the number of my most favorite NBA player, Michael Jordan.
If you notice, both numbers have the number 2. It is because 2 is also my birthday, December 2, and December is also the 12th month of the year.
I had difficulty in explaining it, I just hope understood it. Thanks for reading.

Rabies

ra·bies
n. an acute, infectious, often fatal viral disease of most warm-blooded animals, especially wolves, cats, and dogs, that attacks the central nervous system and is transmitted by the bite of infected animals.
In Pasig, two weeks ago, I was accidentally bitten by our two month-old puppy. Good thing, I only got a very very small wound on my right foot and it did not even bleed. To be sure, my mom and I went to RITM (Research Institute for Tropical Medicine) in Alabang, Muntinlupa City last September 23 to know what are we going to do for me to be properly treated because of a possible exposure to rabies. On that same day, I already had five injections. While two injections on each of the succeeding days. I had my third day lately, this afternoon and I have two more days left, that is equivalent to four more injections. Actually, hindi siya masakit, nakakapanghina siya.
I hope this simple blog entry let you know how many injections are needed to treat a possible exposure to rabies. So, BEWARE OF DOGS.

Music (Classification)

Like sports, music is also one of my passions in life. When I was still young, I took drums lessons at Yamaha School of Music in Manila. After that, I realized that I just enjoy more on listening to it, than playing it. I enjoy it everytime I'm in my room, arranging my things, doing my assignments and stuff. Sometimes, before taking a bath, I do louden the song I am playing just to hear it from my bathroom. Anyway, I'm interested in different genres of music, such as, r&b, hip-hop, pop, and reggae. Songs by 2pac, Bonethugs~n~Harmony, and Bob Marley are the ones I like. I also like rock music, particularly emotional rock, but not metal and punk rock. I'm also interested and familiarized more on OPM bands than foreign bands.

Early Disappointment

Last Wednesday was the opening of the college sportsfest 2007-2008. We had team minor games; tug of war, modified basketball, and dodgeball against the other team colors. As one of the team captains of the team, I was very disappointed with what had happend. We lost in the three games that we had. Plus, only few of our teammates attended in the opening. I was very disappointed that time. I just hope this will not happend in the next games that we will be competing with the other teams.

A Very Tiring Week

This week was a very tiring week for me. I organized almost all of the requirements needed by the white team for the upcoming sportsfest. I enlisted the players that will be competing for different sports against the other team colors, looked for and sketched the design of our jersey, and scouted for a tailoring. Actually, it took me two weeks to finish all of this, and it's not easy because only few of our teammates are cooperating with us. Good thing Johna assisted me in the team color meeting that we had last last week, and she also lead the cheer dance for our team on the opening of the sportsfest last Wednesday.
I realized that being one of the team captains of the white team is a big responsibility to handle. And because of this, I learned things that will help me, not only the next time I will be doing this, but also on the rest of my college years and in the future.
