Another Music Video

For my second journal entry this week, I'll just share another music video that I only discovered and watched yesterday. Anyway, this music video is all about two guys who are bestfriends. They wanted to see each other and introduce each other's girlfriends. While on the phone, they realized that they are talking of the same girl. They have seen each other, still as bestfriends, and planned something for that particular girl they are both into. In the video, you will see how they talked and planned about what they are going to do to that girl. This is "Same Girl" by R. Kelly and Usher.

Why Are You In School?

This short blog of mine is all about things why we students are in school. I answered the question based on my own opinion and understanding about schooling. Hope you like it.
I am in school to know who I am, what I am, and why I am existing. School is one of the best things you must learn to love, to be able to discover many important things about yourself, about your family, about you friends, about the reality, about life, and especially about God. I am in school to study about my existence, and how to live a meaningful and essential life now and in the future. In school, you are also taught on how to deal with things, things that you will be encountering in the next few years that you will be studying and even after graduating college.
I hope this short blog helped you and, somehow, answered your questions about why we students are in school.

Comparative Analysis (Music Videos)

"I Don't Wanna' Know", this first music video is one of my favorite songs. Anyway, in this music video, there was this guy who was very lonely and depressed. This guy was betrayed and cheated on by his girlfriend. In the music video, you can see how he reacted and how depressed he was with his problem.
Value Judgement (5 is the highest; 1 is the lowest): 3
My second choice of music video is "Lose Control" by Missy Elliot. It's all about dancing, particularly street dancing. It does not have any particular story, yet its cool.
Value Judgement (5 is the highest; 1 is the lowest): 4
The third music video is also one of my favorite songs. The music video is all about a black American guy who was mistaken by the police to be a robber. For me, the video is somehow showing discrimination on the black Americans because the guy was trying to explain but the police, whom are white Americans, refused it. Instead, they ran after the black guy and caught him. The police went to the owner of the store with the wrong guy. At the end of the video, the black guy was set free. This is "I Tried" by Bonethugs-n-Harmony. Check it out.
Value Judgement (5 is the highest; 1 is the lowest): 5
If you can notice, the three music videos that I chose and blogged about are all sung by Americans, black Americans. Black Americans are good in different kinds of r&b music which I am fond of listening to. I also love listening to rock music, but I am not into watching their music videos. Anyway, black Americans, for me, are much "higher" than the white ones. For example, in the movies, many also of the actors and actresses are black Americans. Movies with "black" celebrities are more likely to be clicking than movies with the "white" ones. In basketball, particularly in the NBA, majority of the reigning basketball stars now, and even in the past, are also "black". I do not idolize black Americans, but for me, they are more talented than the white ones.

Introduction ; Interest (Sports)

I'm Heinz Kristian Buenaventura Nicolas, 16 years of age, born on December 2, 1990. I graduated from Sacred Heart Academy-Pasig and I'm now taking up BS Business Administration Major in Management in De La Salle University-Canlubang. Basketball is one of my passions in life, that is why I chose the category of sports. Here is a brief definiton and history of it.
Sports are activitities that is governed by a set of rules, specialized equipment, precise timing, measuring and scoring, spectators ,and coverage by various media. It commonly refers to activities were the physical capabilities of the competitor are the primary determiner of the result of the competition itself. The term is also used to other activities such as mind sports and motor sports where mental capabilities are the primary attributes. Because also of sports, some people are engaged into gambling where money is at stake.
Sports began the first time a person used both physical and mental capabilities under recreational conditions. "Sport could well have been fishing or hunting for pleasure or merely engaging in a playful demonsration of physical prowess. Modern sports, however, are often thoroughly organized. Archaeological evidence indicates that the Sumerians practiced Wrestling as a sport about 5,000 years ago. The ancient Olympic Games, first recorded in 776 BC, could be called the birth of organized sports."
