Tight D (Definition)

In basketball, there are certain words that are shortened to be able to use it while playing on the court. An example of these words is "Tight D". Tight D is a word used while playing basketball. It is a shortcut term for tight defense. Obviously, it means to tightly guard your opponent, as much as possible, away from the ball, and most importantly away from the basket.
Another term used in basketball is "Set". We are all familiar that "Set" means, a group forming a whole (example: a set of gardening tools). While in basketball, it simply means to tell your teammates to be ready or to be in position.
